Academic Advising

Academic advisors provide guidance to all students by supporting the exploration of academic and career goals; by helping students understand and navigate program requirements and college policies, and by supporting students in developing and realizing academic, career and transfer plans.

New students are advised by professional academic advisors to review placement, enrollment steps, and to create a first semester schedule of courses. New students can schedule appointments through the BC3 Applicant Portal Orientation tab when it is available for their selected enrollment term.

Current students are assigned to faculty advisors or professional academic advisors who can assess academic progress and recommend course selections.

Advising staff are available through the Academic Center for Enrichment and at each campus location. Meet the staff below!

BC3 Main Campus

Academic advisors are located in the Academic Center for Enrichment in the Student Success Center. Please call or connect at student.planning@bc3.edu for general advising questions.

New Students:Log into the BC3 Applicant Portal to review necessary enrollment steps, and use the Orientation tab to prepare for advising and to schedule an appointment with a professional advisor. New students should not use links on this page to schedule appointments.

Current Students:To make an appointment with an academic advisor at the Butler Main Campus, please call or schedule an appointment online. You can select specific advisors through this link if necessary.
